Album Notes

This is the first CD offering of Connecticut based band Wild Notes.

Wild Notes is an innovative acoustic group known for their unique arrangements of Traditional American music and all its roots - Irish, Scottish, French-Canadian, jazz, rock, and classical. Their energetic renditions of New England Contra dance music, reels, jigs, hoedowns and waltzes will leave your heart pounding and feet tapping.

Wild Notes features intricate yet melodic interweavings of fiddle and concertina, floating above sweet harp arpeggios, firmly anchored by guitar, mandolin and double bass. Whether a non-stop hoedown or sweet Scottish lament, this music is fun.

So put on your dancing shoes and enjoy Wild Notes. They're sure to sow a few new fans!

The music brings me back to the days my father was alive and our family would sit around the family room while listening to music much like this. Thank you for bringing me back in time when life was simple, I am buying a CD for my mom bor her Birthday and she's going to love it. Thank you for such awesome music to my ears.

I love your CD. I call it my happy music. It can lift my spirits after a hectic day at work! Also sent one to my daughter in Seattle who enjoys the contra dancing community out there.

I'm always looking for music that is nice to play in the house while I'm home with my 1 and 3 year olds. We were able to dance to it!
