Album Notes

The Wild Truth has been redefining the phrase “original music” for some time now. It’s deft blend of rock, pop, folk and funk has received numerous accolades from both the media and their peers, including "Best Political Album" in The Reader's 2006 'Hip List' and a San Diego Music Award nomination as well.

Lead vocalist and songwriter Sven-Erik Seaholm is a familiar name to fans of the San Diego music scene, as he is also a well-respected record producer. In 2003, 2005 & 2006 he received special San Diego Music Awards for Producer of the Year. 2003 also saw the release of his critically acclaimed solo album "Upload", and he spent much of 2004 as a member of the popular vocal band The Gandhi Method.

Bassist David Ybarra is no stranger either, having held down the bottom end for Playground Slap, The Cloud Merchants and 44 Double D, as well as producing clients like Meghan LaRoque for his production company, The Modern Bakery. Fans of his playing include none other than the late, great Jimmy Smith.

Guitarist Charlie Loach is also a local music veteran whose fiery riffs and passionate soloing have been lighting up stages and studios throughout Southern California. His background in both blues and country music bring a unique twist to The Wild Truth's power pop recipe.

Renowned drum wunderkind Bill Ray (Ike Turner, Tubby), is not only a peerlessly gifted musician, but an educator and musical activist as well. His relentless pursuit of the perfect groove both inspires and entertains all within earshot of his live and studio artistry.
