Album Notes

So. Cal-based sax man Will Donato has put together a killer new CD that should move him quickly into the forefront of the Smooth Jazz scene. His credentials are impressive...Performing songwriting, soundtracks... The work on WILL POWER is solid from beginning to end. This, his fourth album release, was co-produced with his pal, Steve Reid, who plays percussion on most of the tunes. Also on board is guitarist Steve Oliver, who co-wrote three songs for the project as well as being heavily involved with pre-production. Then there's guitarist Blake Aaron guesting on "X-Factor" and Tony Guerrero adding his trumpet to "Earthshakin'" and "Espana". This is top-of-the-line Smooth Jazz. Really hard to pick favorites, but if I had to, I'd probably go with "Espana", Will's breezy Latin journey that lies oh-so-easy on the ears, and perhaps the ultra-tasty "Earthshakin'", a track I can easily hear tearing it up on Smooth Jazz radio. Then there's the Smoothjazz.com Radio hit, "New Life." I also really like the passionate ballad, "Italia", and the captivating "The Goddess", written for Will's beautiful wife, Diana, who by the way, is the inspiration for the entire album. Can't forget the lovely "Illuminata", (Will's affectionate nickname for his daughter Christina). See what I'm talking about here? It's hard to pick a few favorites, since all of the songs stand out. In fact, Will Donato's WILL POWER is outstanding and you need to get a copy now and start enjoying Will's music right away. It's a Smooth Jazz no brainer! - Scott O'Brien, Smoothjazz.com

Theres one song I really like. I just can't find it. But I will. All your music is always beatiful Will. You're up there with Kenny G and Dave Kauz. You're one of the best saxaphone players.

The CD was a Christmas gift to our daughter. She called today as a matter of fact raving about the CD. Her words--she loved every song on the CD. Not being able to purchse locally--very glad I found the CD on the web-site!
