Album Notes

Freddy Will was born in Freetown, Sierra Leone and grew up living in Liberia, The Gambia and Senegal, West Africa. He spent his early adult years living in New Jersey, USA and independently produces this album through Thunder Dome Sounds Studios, spearheaded by JUNO Award Winning producer Eddie Bullen and publishes his books out of Ontario, Canada through Soul Asylum Poetry and Publishing Inc and Freddy Will Publishing.

Freddy Will’s debut album entitled ‘While I’m Still Young – The Talking Drums’ chronicles his encounters while meddling in ghetto slums where he grew up. As an adolescent and the oldest of four siblings, Freddy Will pursued a career in music and literature. His early influences are Michael Jackson, Bob Marley, Marvin Gaye, Naughty by Nature, Tupac Shakur, The Notorious BIG and Snoop Dogg. His love for rap music coined with his experiences during two civil wars (Liberia and Sierra Leone) molded him into an exceptional artist who expresses his views of life through music, books, screenplays and poetry. His keen interest in science, also led him to establish the Freddy Will Hope Foundation.
