The Story:
29th Century:
It is several centuries from this time that observer teams at the edges of our galaxy first noticed the phenomenon. From the deepest reaches of the universe their instruments could see stars exploding with such force of energy that adjacent stars would then explode - in a sort of chain-reaction tsunami consuming everything within each star's galaxy.

After months of observation - they finally understood their observations - and published their report to all known colonies and other civilizations: as the chain-reaction grew ever wider, it was certain to consume our galaxy. Like a moth in the mouth of a fire dragon - we await a certain end.
