This debut CD by Toronto pianist/composer William Lavigne is a wonderful collection of easy listening light classical original piano compositions that are perfect for relaxed listening….sure to bring pleasure to those who enjoy cross-over type music.
William Lavigne was born and raised in Sudbury, Ontario where he began piano studies at an early age with Norma Luck. He is a graduate of the music program of Cambrian College in Sudbury, where he studied voice with Marion Harvey and piano with John Hannah and Valerie Candelaria. After moving to Toronto, William furthered his musical studies at the University of Toronto and through the Royal Conservatory of Music. William currently resides in Toronto.

I hope you enjoy listening to my original compositions! The track “Young Irish Heart” was written as a tribute to my maternal grandfather, William Radey (“Willy”). Willy Radey was an Irish fiddler, tap-dancer and extraordinary story-teller who had an incredible zest for life and a genuine love of music, people and entertaining. He inspired me with his great sense of humour and generous spirit. This track is a tribute to his legacy.
