Album Notes

William Mallory started writing music in 1976. His first song was entitled "Don't Make Me Die" after seeing a the Jonestown Massacre on the cover of a magazine. His first band Feedback was formed in 76 and played many grammar school gyms, in which they played for hundreds of people at a time. William then formed Spender out of existing members of Feedback which would then fizzle down to two Members, myself and a lead singer. We were signed with Atlantic for a brief stay back in the Eighties. William since went solo since 1989 and has released many independent recordings over the last two decades. Monster's aren't real gives a glimpse of William's past showcasing some of the only recordings over 25 years old. Though the album mostly consists of songs William recorded within the past two years, mixing in three or four older tunes out of the 21 that appear on the record. The album is fresh and quite a surprise in itself. I would say magic and love had alot to do with the making of Monsters Aren't Real.
