William Steffey's new album, Romance of the Spaceways, is aptly titled.

The album opens with a hyper, energetic song called 'MoonGirl'. Lilting keyboards rise, reminiscent of recent Duran Duran. William Steffey continues synth pop leanings through the record. Flowing through the lyrics of every song you'll find familiar feelings of longing, memories gone by, and optimistic hopes. The vocals on 'Sanctuary' are some of the most powerful on the CD, with emotion spilling forth through the words and delicate piano playing. 'Only One I Ever Wanted' is a bittersweet tribute, a sultry song that will compel you to sway your hips. The Sixth tune, Molly Molly, is a fun, jangly song meant for dancing around your apartment in your underwear. 'Nobody Goes to Hell' is an epic track, provoking thought and reflection. With 'Darjeeling', we are treated to an upbeat and romantic song that is the crown jewel of the album. As a closer, we get a nostalgic crooning, completing a very versatile CD with wonderful "re-listenability".
