Album Notes

Willie Nelson is the mayor of Luck, Texas, a little town on the imaginary map of Cowboy Country, capital of real country music. It is also the name of the movie site village close to the Willie's Pedernales Studios. From this remote place the original outlaw Willie Nelson planned the 'Tales Out Of Luck' series.

The first installment is a CD with 13 extraordinary songs, intimate and strongly western flavored features. Tales Out Of Luck - The Drummer And Me is a mighty fine Willie Nelson album in the tradition of Tougher Than Leather and Red Headed Stranger, his best albums from a large, versatile and strong oeuvre. Intimate and very personal cowboy songs. Music straight from the heart. Maybe his finest ever. A number of songs you've heard in different versions on other albums, but this is really how we want to hear Willie. A beautiful intimate album by the dearest superstar ever.
