Willie Stradlin is a Red Dirt/Southern Rock band from northwest Arkansas. The name was derived from their heroes Willie Nelson and Izzy Stradlin (formerly of Guns and Roses). They are heavily influenced by the Texas/Oklahoma Red Dirt scene, and bring to the genre their own brand of rowdy southern Rock ‘n’ Roll. This 13 song disc was recorded at DirtyBird Studio in Norman Oklahoma with Travis Linville and Mike McClure producing. It includes some backup vocals by Austin Allsup, as well as instrumental and vocal performances by Travis and Mike. The disc was mixed and mastered by Joe Hardy. It includes one Izzy Stradlin cover “Chop Awayâ€, and twelve original tunes.

I heard "Living for the Weekend" on the Classic Rock free sample CD and had to find out who Willie Stradlin were. The CD is fabulous and I love it. Can't wait for the next one. Keep up the good work, and you would be welcome here in Australia anytime! All the best, Karen (formally from the UK, now Down Under where we need music like yours!) Read more...
