Album Notes
This album is somewhat of a concept album. It symbolizes "the progression" a person goes through in their Christian faith. The first grouping of songs is about acknowledging God as being real and Christ's Sacrifice as being our salvation; realizing that their is a void that only God can fill. Then the next grouping of songs is about accepting that love and the gift of that sacrifice as you begin to walk with God in your life. Finally the album ends with a grouping of songs about moving forward in the sanctification process; Praising God, telling others about Him, and ultimately hopefully ascending to Heaven some day.

However, "the progression" applies to the album musically as well. The dynamics of the instrumentation and harmonies slowly build as the album plays through. I think there is a lot more going on this album than my previous one. I tried to pull from many inspirations and influences as I pieced "the progression" together. There are shades of several genres all wrapped up into what I think is a pretty unique sound, but it will also seem familiar. There are a few hymns on the album that I think everyone knows and a few of the songs have bits and pieces of even more familiar hymns tucked inside them. I composed, wrote, played, and sang everything you hear on this album (outside of the hymns and the "Hallelujah" cover), so its a personal/vulnerable thing. Be gentle. Haha! I hope you give it a listen and enjoy what you hear. I hope there is something on this album for everyone out there. Thanks for listening.
