Album Notes

Touring since 1990, this husband and wife duo blends breakneck instrumentals with warm harmony vocals, to weave a vibrant experience of texture and fun!
Curiously untamed… they simply don’t fit the expected Celtic mold. Tight harmonies give traditional songs a modern feel and original compositions are given an ancient twist.
A national award for instrumentals as well as International awards for song writing, guarantee a quality of purpose in the music.
All of the duo's recordings were done with the intent that a listener would get the same musical experience as in a Willson & McKee concert. No over production, tasteful arrangements, solid musicianship, and a connection with the music itself.

Chosen to be sold at the visitor’s center at El Morro National Monument in New Mexico because of the title track. The mesa is literally a sandstone document of the passage of time and inscriptions were the inspiration for the song. Beginning in 1605, the repeated inscriptions of “Paseo por aqui” (Passed by here) remind us of our brief time in this world. Traditional Scottish ballads, blood-pumping Irish dance tunes, songs about Mexican food... a surprise in every track! Ken and Kim invite listeners to share a unique place between red chili and the north sea...

This CD is delightful as all of their music is. Not quite as good as sitting there in person, but the next best thing.

My children love this CD. We have to play it all the time in the car. Every time the song "Passed by here" comes on, we all have to sing along.

Hauntingly addictive. Charmingly genuine. Acoustically masterful.

The only thing wrong with this CD is that it is too short! You'll want to play it over and over. A note of caution: DANGEROUS DULCIMER ADDICTION can occur upon repeated listenings. One of the most refreshingly entertaining CD's in my massive collection. "Night visitor" is a masterpiece on the harp and Kim nails it. "Twa corbys" gives road kill new meaning and I pass by roadside crows differently now. When listening to Ken's vocals, you can close your eyes and "poof" you're in your favorite pub... Ah, Willson & McKee & a Guiness. No wonder their songs are(Inter)national champions! A must have CD.
