notes
Living Digits is Will Landrum's debut CD from this Virginia-based guitarist featuring 8 cuts of heavy rock instrumentals. Landrum has developed an impressive set of muscles as a guitarist. Lightning-fast scales are mixed with hammering and pull-offs, but not to the point of imitating instrumental mainstays such as Satriani or Vai. Landrum is especially adept at composition providing numerous catchy guitar riffs and memorable melodies. Highlights on this release include "Fullness of Time", "Shining Hope", "Hour Champion", and the acoustic coda "Perfection Of The Bride". All 8 tracks on Living Digits are addicting and leave the listener wanting more. This CD is simply a "must have" for your rock guitar collection. The guitars come from every angle, making great music for the guitar enthusiast. Fine work from a former student of super shredder Michael Fath. Instrumental Guitar (Electric (Heavy)/Shred/Hard Rock), total running time, 34:22

Will's Music Kicks _______
author: Jack LoganbillWill is a shredder and he proudly displays his chops on this 8-cut, guitar-oriented CD. Not only does Will shred, but he does so musically rather than maniacally as too many shredders tend to do. Tons of arpeggiated and moded licks provide a frantic but melodic pace. My favorite cuts include the anthems Mainstay, Hour Champion, and Shining Hope. Love the mix and stereo placement of the various guitar parts. My only negative comment--there's only 8 cuts, which leaves you hoping for more. Actually, I doubt my heart could stand more than 35 minutes of this roller-coaster of an album. Will, great job!
