Album Notes

Debut CD by professional bassist that has recorded with The Pretenders, Tori Amos, Terence Trent D'Arby, Fear and many others.(See bio at Will Macgregor.com) This is not a solo bass record. It is a song record, a pop record that reflects Will's greatest influences. Those influences being bands like The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Stone Temple Pilots, Alice in Chains, etc. Will is the songwriter, lyricist, lead vocalist, acoustic guitarist, bassist, arranger, and co-producer on this record.
The songwriting, vocal style and textures are very reminiscent of late Beatles meets STP. With the help of cutting edge producer-drummer, Bobby MacIntyre(Twilight Singers), the powerful electric guitars and production help from Andy Jackson(Surf Punks), elect. guitar on "Carnival" and graphics by Steve Caton(Tori Amos), Keyboards by Phil Shenale and JD Daniel, Will's father, David, on soprano sax, swampy drummer, Jody Cortez(Boz Scaggs, CSN) and a host of other brilliant talents, Will has created a catchy, memorable CD with plenty of ear candy. The first song,"Call Me", was featured in the TV series, "Veritas" and also has gotten airplay on The LA Music Pipeline internet radio show. The songs are personal and are easy for most people to relate to. You won't be disappointed!
