For the release of his album “Rescue Me” in November 2007, Tom Willner joined with five other musicians to form the band known as Urban Blue. This newly formed six piece band consisting of Willner on keyboards and vocals, Lee Hansen on sax, Adam Coletta on guitar, Lee Nunn on bass, Kristi Budd on vocals, and Chris Kearney on drums, performed for his CD release party at Eddie’s Attic. The show sold out in advance and was a wild success. After playing numerous other shows at other venues playing a wide variety of styles, the crew returned to Eddie’s in April 2008 for an encore performance. This time they were joined by blues/rock drummer Towson Engsberg. The show was another smashing success, and prompted Tom to assemble the ten best recordings from the two shows into a live album. The album is released under a creative commons license, and the band encourages you to share the music and spread the good word.
