This international singing and songwriting duo, Britain’s Stan Willott and America’s Al Snyder, has come together and created an all-original studio album “SOMETHING ABOUT THE NIGHT”. The album was influenced by their love of the Beatles and was produced by Al Snyder in his “Albey Road Studio” in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.
Playing music in Pittsburgh since 1965, AL formed and headed the top Pittsburgh group DARKHORSE (1971 to 1978. Some might remember in 1975 when ex-Beatle, George Harrison had to buy the rights to the DARKHORSE name for his new record company, album and single from AL and his band.
Al is one of the original members of nationally known CORBIN HANNER BAND (1978 to present)
They have 5 national CD releases all reaching the top 20 / 30 on Billboards Country charts.
Many artist (including Alabama, Lee Ann Wolmack, Kenny Rodgers, Oak Ridge Boys, Mel Tillis, Don Williams and many more) have taken their original songs to #1 and to the top forty on the charts. He is the owner and producer/engineer of Albey Road Studio where most of these hits were first recorded. Al is also the voice of the Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium where he wrote and recorded all the "Zoo Key Songs" The Zoo Key Songs CD has been wildly popular for 7 years now and there is a new one due out spring 2009.
Stan’s education was briefly interrupted when he went to school in England, but his entrepreneurial spirit soon took him from a successful family business in the UK to a worldwide corporation where he opened businesses in South Africa, Canada, Mexico, and in the USA. Stan’s life was forever changed when he saw the Beatles perform in his hometown of Stoke on Trent in England, and that experience inspired him to pursue his love of music and songwriting. He has the innate ability to creatively write songs that evoke emotions from the listener, plus the English singing style that sets this CD apart from all others.
Two different characters from different countries with one common love, music!
