Will T. Massey is from San Angelo, Texas. He released his first collection of original songs in high school. After moving to Austin, he released two more albums on his own, and then signed with MCA Records. A self-titled debut on MCA, recorded at A&M Studios in Los Angeles, included veterans such as Roy Bittan (Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band), Mike Campbell (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers), and Kenny Aronoff (John Mellencamp).

Will toured in America and Europe, receiving critical acclaim for his solo performances. He has opened for a myriad of acts -- Townes Van Zandt to Chris Isaak.

After a break from public performances, Will has returned to the stage with an extensive collection of new material. In addition to performing, he has also released two new solo acoustic CDs: Acoustic Session, April 2005; and Alone, November 2005.

- Houston Chronicle

"He is one of the greatest storytellers since Dylan and Van Morrison."
- New York Daily News

"Besides country-boy manners (Mr. Massey uses "ma'am" and "sir" at will) and an ear for a melody, the singer-songwriter-guitarist has a way with words."
- The Dallas Morning News

"An original voice from Texas"
- Rolling Stone

"... the restless soul of Hank Williams matches up effortlessly with a rock 'n' roll heart."
- Time

"Massey is a genuine masterful lyricist ..."
- Austin American Statesman

"... his songs cover a broad spectrum of music from folk to country to rock. As a songwriter, Massey is introspective and mature, but his voice is his real calling card."
- Chicago Sun Times

" ... prodigious ... Massey is a strong composing talent..."
- Billboard

"Like some West Texas Springsteen, Massey writes songs that give the commonplace events of life to high drama and delivers them with the grand gestures of a master performer."
- Austin Chronicle

Will T. Massey is back
I think that Will T. Massey debut album in 1991 is a little masterpiece. I listened it for many many years and even today i keep listenin' that record. I think many people have waited all these years for a new Will record.
Finally here it is! If the first album was a rock record, this is a songwriter record. The voice is changed, the writing method is changed and even the singin' is changed. This record is full of great songs written with the heart and played by a great musicians. All i have to say is that in some ways this is not an easy album to hear because the particular Will voice. You have to hear these songs many time and then you will agree with me that all those years in waiting are not in vain. Will T. Massey is a great songwriter and he deserves all our support.
