Album Notes

"The Arrival" is a BANGER! Its hip-hop at its strongest! It will usher in a new chapter in hip-hop - a new era. This album cannot be ignored. Will Vill and his team the Hashayshines are ready to make their mark in the game. This album is the first shot - one that will be heard and remembered - for a long time.

It takes off with the intro "Walk with the Bop." This track kicks it off with some real NYC attitude. It's the beginning of the first part of the album where Will introduces himself, where he's from, and what he's about. He's representing the hood - Washington Heights in Uptown Manhattan. He's also letting the world know that he and his team, the Hashayshines, have arrived. The second track "Outshine the Sun" is a song where Will is establishing himself as a key player in the game - an elite competitor. "Dreams of Getting Murdered" is the third track. Here, he's painting a picture of a modern day urban drama. It's a dark urban tale. In the fourth track, "Front Page," Will and Spoo the Noble are creating a scenario where there's drama, and letting people know that they know how to respond to it - they explain what'll go down when the beef is real. It's blazin!

"Wishes" is the next song - track #5. On this joint, Will talks about how life is and how he wishes it would be.... It's a deep track - check out the lyrics. In song #6, "Clarify," Will, Spoo, and Outty Cas are reppin' the Hashayshines - letting the competition know that the Hashayshines is strictly about the music. Number 7, "Blood and Sand" is a club banger! Will's letting the world know the he and his team are making their mark in the game and are prepared to enforce it! "Keep It Gritty" is an anti-player song, with a club bangin' beat and a catchy hook. Will and Outty Cas explain how they aren't high-rollers and ain't trying to be pretty for nobody. They keep it gutter - no dough for gold-diggin' chicks. The next track is "Confused." This is a laid back mellow type of track with some old-school flavor. Will's talkin' to a female that's basically afraid of taking it to the next level. He's expressing his frustration over the girl's indecisiveness. It's a smooth track. On song #10, "Headlock on Satan" Will's spittin' fire on this track, letting people know where he's at lyrically, and at the same time, explaining how he doesn't allow negativity to affect his focus.

The next track is an interlude - a transition to the next part of the album where he gets deeper. Apart from it being an interlude, "Exodus," is about the Hashayshines starting a movement in hip-hop, and how Will considers himself to be at the forefront of that movement. From there we move on to "It's Only Right" - track #12. This track is almost like a rags-to-riches story. Will, Outty Cas, and Catalyst are painting a picture of their current struggles in the hood and how it can't get any worse. It's a motivational track - the only thing left is to go out and get that money. It's time to make some power moves. Track #13 - "Free Will" - is a wake-up call to people in general. This song is lettin' them know it's time for them to open their eyes and realize their free will in jeopardy. "Behave Like A Slave" is on the same tip. This track is also a wake-up call. Cats in the hood living their lives blindly - focusing on material things - are playing right into the Devil's hands by being pawns in his Game. This song breaks down the systematics behind The Game. The last two songs on the album stand apart from the other tracks. In "When I Come Home" and "Sincerely Yours," Will is being more sincere and intimate with the audience. In "When I Come Home," he's trying to reach an understanding with God - trying to put all the drama and all the good times we face in the hood into perspective. The message is that the balance between the negative and positive makes it all worth living. This is the most feel-good track on the album. "Sincerely Yours" is Will's letter to the hood - trying to come to an understanding why we go through these dramas. Although he doesn't agree with all of the BS, he maintains faith in the hood and keeps rolling with it. This project is appropriately named as it will mark Will Vill's arrival in the hip-hop game, and beginning of something new. The time has come...
