Album Notes

Singer-Author-Storyteller, Willy Welch is best known for his hit song "Right Field," recorded by Peter Paul and Mary and included on their most recent greatest hits album.

Willy has been a children's entertainer for over 12 years, singing, guitaring and storytelling at schools, camps, libraries, festivals, churches and parties all over the USA. The kids affectionately call him "Mr. Willy."

Besides Peter Paul & Mary, his work has been performed and recorded by Barney the Purple Dinosaur, Kevin Roth, Trout Fishing in America, and Jim Newton, among many others.

Great to hear him again

I love this CD. It is great to hear Willy Welch still making music. I first heard him when I was 8 and he sang at my school, Mustard Seed. Now my children will get the pleasure of hearing him sing.

My daughter loves this CD
author: Melinda L.
Mr. Willy sang at my two daughters' birthday party and they love his cd. The songs are silly and have great tunes for the adult listener. It is the cd most frequently requested in the car. He is a great entertainer and I highly recommend the cd.

This is a joy to listen to

I listened to this CD last night and I loved it! I really liked the calypso-y style of My Face. I spent a lot of Dipsy Doodle thinking "what instrument made that sound?"--I think I recognized a dog bark and the squeak made when fingers slide on guitar strings. My Friend Jake totally faked me out with the twist ending. Ms. Gonzalez was such a sweet song--I want to play it for the kindergarten teachers I read stories for regularly. But the capper is Molly Mess--Molly did a wonderful job with her dad! I love the laughter in his voice as he sings to her, and tears prickled my eyes when she said "Thank you daddy."

Still making good music!
author: Tom Brown
It's been many years since I've seen Willy. I remember the evening that Wendy and Willy did a concert just before leaving NYC it was a good night. One of my favorite songs of that time is "Right Field" the way that Willy does it. It's great to see that he is still making music. This CD looks like some music that I should share with Carol my daughter.
