Album Notes

After glowing reviews from many nationals on their 1998 demo, Wilma (singer/bass), Johnny (guitar, vocals), and Paul (drums, vocals) of the trio WILMA spent a year writing and recording A Piece of Work, their 15-song debut CD.

The band was formed in Texas in 1993 when front person singer bassist & songwriter, Wilma, teamed up with songwriter singer guitarist Johnny Marshall. In 1995 after winning Club DaDa's Battle of the Bands in Dallas and getting rave reviews from the Dallas Observer, the band moved to New York City. There they joined forces with Keith Moon reincarnate and Bronx native Paul Lobel to complete A Piece of Work. The band is exploding at frequent show dates along the east coast.

A Piece of Work is the first release on the band's own label, Circling Buzzard Records. WILMA's music has received airplay on commercial & college radio, some of which are WLIR, WSOU, & WSVA. Commercial radio promotion of A Piece of Work is underway!
