Album Notes

Songwriter, guitarist, vocalist David Bryan Wilson was on the forefront of the punk rock movement in Portland, Oregon in the late 1970's and early 80's. Now he's back with a solo release entitled, "Out Of The Woods."
"Out Of The Woods" is Wilson's own brand of folk/rock/americana with a small amount of gutsy punk.
The songs range from quirky and comedic to melancholy and thoughtful.
Over his career, Wilson has shared the stage with such acts as Greg Sage and The Wipers, Black Flag, The Dils, Rank and File, DOA, Napalm Beach, The Rats (Dead Moon) plus Sado Nation and John Shirley.
You can hear some of his past work on several northwest rock recordings including: The Stiphnoyds “Afraid Of The Russians”, “Buried Alive”, The Wipers, “Scared Stiff” and Portland’s compilation album “10-29-79.”
His former punk band The Stiphnoyds was also featured in Greg Sage's, " History Of Portland Punk" and Mike Lastra's Documentary entitled, "Northwest Passage".
