ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"Aloft" is the debut album from the trio, Wings That Buzz, of Mercersburg, Pennsylvania. Their unique blend of strong melodies, warm textures, and toe-tapping rhythms are both fresh and familiar. Fluid, energetic music and thought-provoking lyrics, about the joys and struggles of life, combine to create an uplifting sound that aims to inspire the listener. It's as likely to get you moving as it is to leave you thinking.
Formed in 2011, their origins actually date back to 1996 when young bassist, Sean Grove, approached local guitarist, Klaus Funk, about writing music together. The two immediately discovered a musical chemistry which has sustained them through the years. In the fall of 2010, Sean met and began writing with local singer-songwriter, Jason Kipe. The two of them were excited to find that they also shared an instant connection. Both believed that the addition of Sean's longtime friend on guitar would carry their sound to new heights. So, in early 2011, the three musicians began writing and playing together as Wings That Buzz.
