The Winstons is a self-contained band based out of washington, d.c. performing the classic 1969 hit record
"color him father" all over the country. Their are no original members from the 1969 Winstons. The band was formed by Jumpin Joe Phillips, who has been music director/guitarist for many well known recording acts such as the stylistis, Delfonics, Harold Melvin and the Bluenotes, Eddie Holman and others. You don't want to miss the Winstons and their full orchestra in concert doing their soulful ballads, upbeat dance songs, and songs from their latest cd titled"the winstons. the cd includes the william devaughn remake of "be thankful(for what you've got), (the new)"color him father," "I love D.C." and "Everything's gonna be alright" that contains a groove with flavor.

Great comeback album, same sound as of years ago

The Winstons sound is still there with several alternative Color Him Father takes, even with new updated lyrics. Also enjoy the horn section of the album. Recommended for anybody who grew up with the original hit song and/or owns their album with the golden nature view on the cover.
