Wintry are formed by Alex Twin (3 Cold Men & Individual Industry) and Anne Goldacker (ex- Obsc(y)re).
“Atmosphere around Us” is the debut album of the Brazilian/German band.
Recorded between 2000 and 2008 it was produced by Maurizio Bonito (3 Cold Men) & Marcelo Gallo (Pitch Yarn of Matter and Mauve) and mixed in december/2008. One limited edition was released as well, with 4 demo tracks and 6 remixes of Mechanical Moth, Sci-Fi Moritz, In Auroram, FFFC, Downward Path and Jean (Scarlet Leaves). The songs “Cinema of Soul” and “Unreale Welt” are singing in German and the others in English. Dark moments, melancholic and sometimes pop, the whole work get sounds with an own identity. Songs as “Cinema of Soul”, “Voices”, “True Lies”, “Unreale Welt” and “Don’t give Away Your Dreams” give us the main idea of the band’s sound, with atmospheric strings, dark/tribal percussions and dense vocals. Tracks like “Time” and “Words”, show us a 80´s side of the band, with pop melodies and construction. In “Burning Soul”, sounds more electro and old school, with old style’s sequences.
