Album Notes

Borrowing the words of legendary architect Philip Johnson, Wisely's music is best described as "strange and familiar". It's a combination of innovation and influence that makes his songwriting so stunning. Wisely began his musical journey in Minneapolis smitten with Simon & Garfunkel, The Beatles, Prince, and David Bowie. These iconoclastic influences spurred him to write, record and perform in his own exaggerated style, releasing in the late 90's two widely acclaimed CDs, "She" and "Turbosherbet". Wisely has also scored for film (Tromeo and Juliet), and acted: on stage (Lovelace The Musical, Cradle Will Rock), in film (Auto Focus), and on television (Six Feet Under). Now based in Los Angeles, he is currently writing with and music director for television's Andy Dick, and is recording his own next CD for Franklin Castle with producer Linus of Hollywood. In preparation for his new album, we present "Go!" -- a 12-song collection of our favorite tracks from Wisely's past catalog.

The CD cover invokes a feeling of wistfulness and a yearning for times long past....and the music within this CD does the same.... On the one hand it feels an extremely fresh and modern sounding CD but on the other hand it has definite 60 and 70's influences which makes you think back to lazy hazy days listening to music while having fun in the sun... It is a CD I enjoy immensely and one I can thorougly recommend to anyone with a love of top quality pop/rock artists.....
