Album Notes

Wishpool is a band based out of the Central NY area. The band itself was initially formed about four years ago but has undergone several changes since then. In spite of numerous band lineup changes and a myriad of disappointing setbacks, the latest incarnation of Wishpool stuck to their vision and worked hard on their own to create this new self-recorded debut full length CD entitled ‘Resurrected’.

This powerful 12 song album has the familiar modern rock punch and drive inherent in the genre but it does not burden the listener with the anger and despair so common in many of today’s hard rock tracks. “I have to sing about what I have inside me and what I feel in my heart otherwise it would be fake and everyone would know that” says the singer and lyricist in the band. Instead Wishpool imparts a sense of hope and empowerment in many of their lyrics, often dealing with Christian spiritual overtones and imagery. The songs deal with a variety of issues ranging from spiritual strength, personal loss, relationships, and suicide. “We think that everyone can find something that touches them or mirrors what they might be going through in life when they listen to the songs on this CD.” While most of the tracks are driving rock songs, there are a couple of almost pop-like tunes as well (‘In Your Arms Tonight’ and ‘Without’).

“We are a rock band and certainly we don’t take ourselves too seriously. We just hope that people will enjoy the music we created.” The band is now a five member strong team and is actively promoting the music by playing live shows.
