Album Notes

The Witching Hour is the brainchild of session/touring musician Kenny James. Known globally for his work with such acts as George Clinton and the P-Funk All Stars, 24-7 Spyz, The Samples, Celldweller, and many more, Kenny has musically expanded with the creation of The Witching Hour.

As the sole member of The Witching Hour, Kenny writes all of the music and performs all of the instruments and vocals (except where noted). For the debut CD "Angels in Shadowed Blue", he also worked as the sole producer and as co-engineer during tracking, mixing and mastering.

"Angels in Shadowed Blue" is a story of self analysis/comtemplation during one night of sleep. Although there is a running theme, the term "concept album" is too generalized. All of these songs although locked together in it's dream context, stand up strong individually. This CD features guest appearances from other musicians Kenny has worked with and also includes two remixes by Xerxes Non of Contingence.

The Witching Hour's "Angels in Shadowed Blue" isn't just a collection of ideas, it's an opening of the floodgates of original/hard hitting/ambient music for the mind, body, and soul. And, as Kenny has said, it's only the beginning.
