Album Notes

Witch Metal! This is how it is - a whole new genre brought about by the conception of the Australian outfit Witchkrieg.
This hard core three piece has redefined the way Witch and Pagan issues are presented in musical form. Not content to subtly introduce the listener to the world of the Craft in a gentle fashion, Witchkrieg apply an unadorned and honest approach to the real issues and questions that face modern Witches.
And while the lyrical content may be new to some, the punishing solid metal sound will more than thrill the heavy music lover.

It made the neighbours turn their heads!
author: Bardy
I got this CD from a mate who loves this stuff. Being skeptical at first, I listened to it in the car at 3/4 volume while I was washing the car. Turns out my neighbours could also hear it...They're still talking to me (even if they did comment on my lack of hearing capabilities). Great album for getting a response from the neighbours!!

Shows a lot of promise

Really liking where these guys are trying to go. There is quite a mix of material on here and after emailing the band (vocalist Barb Ettridge actually replied herself!), I found out that their new stuff is more of the heavier, gloomy stuff - can't wait.

This is the real deal.

You always expect a first CD to be a bit raw, and this is no exception, but I think that actually adds to it's charm. I have listened to a lot of so called pagan music but this has a serious strength of conviction that comes through in the lyrics and that is backed up by the sonics. These guys know what they are talking about and it shows. I like it, a hell of a lot.

Definitely one of the better witch bands out there. Bewitched was so much better than I dream of jeanie! *wink*
