West of Arizona is a throwback to the era of singer-songwriters and intricate yet intimate rock players.

Based in Southern Oregon, the 4-piece group has released two CD's: Area to Vary in 1997, and Virtual Vinyl, in 2000. Entirely written, arranged, and produced by the band and Darin Liddell, these two CD's are noteworthy for their retro feel -- harmonies influenced by the Beatles, tight guitar interplay influenced by Led Zeppelin, and unique songwriting that is W.O.A.'s own. Best compliment they said they ever got?

That they really didn't sound like anybody else.
