Album Notes

Wolfs Robe’s 2007 release “Visions of a Past” is defiantly one to own. Honoring the People and their creation from the Ancient cliff dwellers of the Great South West to the Lakota of the Great Plains Wolfs Robe weaves beautiful flute melodies with chants, Nature sounds and drums to help listeners hold on to the past through the sound of the Native American flute. “Brent Chase” singer, musician and educator from the Dine Nation ad’s prayers and a lullaby in his language to bring even more excitement to this already amazing recording. Visions of a past was also nominated in eight categories at the 2008 Native American music Awards. Picture the emergence of the Lakota people from deep beneath the Black hills out of wind cave and their first footsteps upon Mother Earth in “Into this World”. “Prayer to the Ages” takes you through time from our ancients to present day, listen to the magical sounds of the Native American flute and the Prayers in the Dine language as they try to heal the Sacred hoop of our People.
