Three years later, an entirely new cast and production (directed by Peter Kazaras with Sara Jobin, conductor) has made its own mark, opening to a packed house and causing The Washington Post to proclaim that, "Truly funny operas, like Volpone, are rare these days. In a world that tends to regard comedies as second-class works of art, Volpone stands out not only for its humor but also its brilliant marriage of words and music."
