23 year-old unorthodox instrumental guitarist, "trying to make music that doesn't rely on lyrics for its content. There’s something more universal about abstract art that allows the audience to see themselves in it, instead of just me. That’s a little more interesting."

Although none of the songs are in standard tuning, and many of them employ extended or unusual guitar technique, this is all done in service of composition. Nothing is done for the sake of flashiness or hollow pyrotechnic value; every note is deliberate. To this end, every song is utterly distinctive. Whether soaring, roaring or balancing ominously on a precipice, the disc delightfully showcases a wide range of textures and musical imagery.

I've never heard so much _ _ _ _ stuff from one guitar. I've accused him of overdubbing, then he'd play that for me.Is it the musician or the Magician that gets me? When the music stops, the spell is broken, & I wish I could remember where I was 30 seconds ago! Yes, My view is opinionated I'm his father.
