Album Notes

WOOD

Metal is back with bands like Creed and Nicholback, and heading the pack on the local scene, on the more of a Metallica type genre, is WOOD.

WOOD has been gigging the L.A. club scene putting on explosive shows since 1999, doing mass advertising, hanging posters, and building their mailing list.
WOOD's music satisfies hardcore listeners who like Metallica, Black Sabbath, Pantara, and Korn. WOOD's new songs, "LIES," and "Shut Up and Listen," successfully mixes old school metal with the new metal being played on today's radio station. WOOD'S music thunders and roars with a vengeance that demands to be heard. The showmanship of WOOD on stage is such raw energy, that it makes WOOD's live show, a show to be scene and heard and not to be missed.
WOOD'S mission is to have every song just balls out powerful, but not sound like it's falling apart, but rather holding together so strong with powerful melodies and lyrics that it reaches from their hearts and grabs yours. WOOD's music is real, they have all lived the hardcore life and have survived through it to write about it which makes their music not bubblegum. They have been seen on national TV, channel 13, The Poorman's show, and they were voted to stay on for 12 weeks being in the top 3 until the show was cancelled. They have received rave reviews by Music Connection Magazine and were on the top 10 unsigned band list. They have also been featured on the cover of Rock City News 4 times with excellent reviews from all the writers who have seen them. It took Creed and Nicholback to show that rock is still alive, and now comes WOOD to show it is here to stay.

author: Eastern Sierra Chick
Caught the recent gig at Paladinos with George Lynch. Wood held their own and rocked the house. The band Wood is worthy of rockin' with the big dogs. I bought the cd and ROCKED all the way back to the Sierras. I'm looking forward to tallying up another show. Pure attitude. I love it!
