Album Notes

2000's striking debut from wooDLawn on German label Maire Music & Media demonstrates the major influences that enabled wooDLawn to Europe-wide distribution and touring. The powerful, emotional, and haunting vocals of singer Tina Braig are complemented by driving guitars, powerful drum and bass rhythms, trance techno synthesizers, and medieval violins.

The CD shows wooDLawn's influences from the Techno, Folk, and Goth arenas, and how they're mixed together into a homogenous, harmonious, melancholic whole. memorable. These qualities have helped them to play as support for some of Germany's biggest Goth/Heavy acts like Tanzwud, Subway to Sally, Megaherz, and Die Happy and even for Americans The Crux Shadows. wooDLawn has played throughout Europe extensively, including Wave-Gothic Treff and CastleRock Muehlheim.

Also found on a CD is a cover version of Joy Division's "Love Will Tear Us Apart."
Martina Braig - vocals
Matthias Lang - guitars, programming
Robert Steinhauser - bass
Yann Zimmermann - drums

Wonderful! Each song strikes a cord deep within me. The lead vocals are amazing. Rich, deep and full of emotions. I like the combination of violins and the heavy drum beats. Each song is a masterpiece in itself. Keep it up!
