Album Notes

If you can't join us here in Barbados this Christmas, at least this CD will bring some of the warmth of a Caribbean Christmas to you!
Coco Noel is a unique jazzy collection of well-known traditional Christmas songs interpreted by André Woodvine on Saxophones and flute and Stefan Van den Bosshe on eight and six string guitars. The jazz duo of André and Stefan have become well known on the Bajan music scene for their tasteful improvisations and rhythmic inventiveness.
Stefan plays a Ralph Novak eight-string guitar (made famous by Charlie Hunter), which allows Stefan to play bass-lines and rhythm guitar simultaneously. Woodvine plays soprano, alto and tenor saxes and flute.
André and Stefan have regularly been featured together on the BET Jazz "Jazz in the sun" series.
Coco Noel was recorded in Barbados over several warm November nights....
Wherever you are this album will make your Christmas a sunny one!
