Album Notes

Wood, Wind & Wire came to the album 'Silent Voices' as a collection of songs that Daryl had written to help with the process of dealing with loss of family members. It was also a concert of remeberance. Relationships never end as long as the memories stay alive and that was the impetus to complete 'Silent Voices'.

Musical influences of John McCutcheon and Sam Rizzetta are evident as well as the acapella style of artists like Enya. Each song is a memory of a life that was important and not to be forgotten. Karen sings the songs of her grandparents and Daryl plays original compositions that reflect the lives of mother, father, lost children and the faithfulness of Gods' promises. Each piece is a personal instrumental portrait and carries with it the life and identity of its' namesake. "Hammered dulcimer extraordinaire!" - New City Cafe'

The songs on this album are there to touch the heart and soul of the listener. We hope you are touched by 'Silent Voices'.

This CD has two incredibly strong qualities:  nowhere else will you find such great original hammered duclimer solo pieces.  And when Daryl & Karen play and sing together the harmony and melody is simply outstanding!!  A most unique CD created by two dedicated artists!!
