Album Notes

Eleven of Woody's original songs are offered to you on his first solo CD "No Reservations" recorded "live in the studio" in 2003. All songs were written and performed by Woody Hawkins. These songs remain uniquely "Woody Hawkins-style," reflecting a touch of jazz, blues, acoustic rock and a hint of country. Special thanks to Farrell Jackson at Jaxonville Studios...for his effort and expertise (from a musician's point of view), in seeing that this album was recorded with integrity.

Woody Hawkins will delight you with the varying styles of his music. His unique blend of guitar, harmonica and powerful vocals, which he has become known for, will captivate you. His songs are energized with a great spirit that comes right out of the depths of this talented singer, songwriter's soul.

Woody was 21 when he picked up his first guitar. He was taught a few cords and his natural ability to play by ear and create music started Woody on the path of discovering a passion for singing, songwriting and performing. Woody's creative side soon led him into a genre that is clearly his own. It is his own brand and style of storytelling, his passionate vocals and his unique guitar licks and harmonica, that place Woody in a class of his own.

Currently Woody is co-manager for the West Coast Songwriters - Performance Showcase in Manteca CA. At this venue he has been acknoweleged for best song and best performance of the month on 2 occations.
Woody is currently performing in Northern California and working on his new CD that is expected sometime this year.
