Artist and singer/songwriter WOODY WRIGHT is a multi-faceted performer. His live concerts embody all the ingredients of a full- blown Gospel concert. He sings his songs with conviction and power. The up-tempo numbers will conjure hand clapping and foot tapping. His treatments of classic songs, hymns and original compositions bring the very spirit that inspired them to listeners from every age group. Just when the audience is captivated by the music, Woody’s comedic takes on real life will bring belly laughs from the most hardened cynic. Plus, the inspiring story of his personal journey reminds everyone that God loves us and has wonderful plans for our lives. The flow of his program reflects the vast experience he has garnered over his many years of sharing the stage with the likes of Reba McEntire, Bill Gaither, Vince Gill, Ray Stevens and many others.

Woody’s concerts often include songs he has written for several Country and Gospel artists. The short list of those who have recorded his songs includes the Gaither Vocal Band, Charley Pride, Russ Taff, Jessy Dixon, Janet Paschal, Chonda Pierce, Mark Lowry, Barbara Fairchild and Christ Church Choir. Many of his songs have been featured on Dove Award and Grammy Award nominated projects. His latest solo project is called “Turn From The Darkness” that includes eleven new original songs. The musicians include many of Nashville¹s A Team players, and supporting vocalists include Larry Gatlin, Oak Ridge Boy Duane Allen, Bill Gaither, Ben Speer, Original Little River Band member Beeb Birtles and others.

On many occasions, his wife, Vonnie, joins Woody. The two released a CD entitled “Unbounded Love” in 2007. The project is designed to encourage folks they refer to as “spares and pairs” in the quest to find true contentment. Their combined experiences of heartache and loss turning to happiness and love could be the subject of a true story romance novel. The
acoustic arrangements of hymns and well-crafted love songs make “Unbounded Love” a timeless and enjoyable listening experience.
