Album Notes

An exotic, intoxicating trip around the world of house.
Compiled by Keith Thompson from hard to find releases
by artist from all corners of the globe: Africa, Europe, and
the U.S. He has combed through back alleys to bring
you these future classics from:
Jordan Katemula (Zambia), Nermin feat. Ayaah (Austria), Black Coffee (South Africa), Greenwood (UK), Bazwaana (South Africa), Afro Blue (Botswana), Keith Thompson (US), Puerto Ricano Bambazee, Mjokes (South Africa), DJ Eddie Ed (Zimbabwe/US), and Brooklyn Blak (US).
"I listened to the tracks for awhile late one night. Got the vibe and then did the mix, live, like I would to rock a crowd," says Camacho. He blends the various styles of global house music, juxtaposing the Afro with the Jazzy and deep, to illustrate how it's all one family of house music. Get ready to party whether in clubs, at home or in travel. So now, enjoy the smooth but party building mix by legendary DJ Camacho. We welcome your review below.

A Journey into Sound
author: DJ Purple - CD Baby artist
When I first saw that the mix was by DJ Camacho I did not hesitate to purchase the CD. What we have here is a combination of first class cuts chosen by Keith Thompson, superb mixing, and the perfect tempo. You can chill out to the grooves, or if you really want to you can get up and dance! Let us also add a dash of afro-cuban-soulful-deep vibes and you have a representation of a worldwide appeal of House Music. After all, music is the universal language and this CD speaks volumes. The tracks that really do it for me: “Spuramante” and “Free My Soul”. If you want to get an eclectic sound this is the CD for you – it will not disappoint!

great selection of music that covers various “styles” of dance music
author: Steve Blackwax Reed
Keith Thompson has obviously spent a lot of time searching out this great selection of music that covers various “styles” of dance music. Afro influenced percussion and vocals to some real house bangers. On there own all the tracks make good listening but add the mixology of the legendary DJ Camacho (who has been bringing joy to dance floors across the globe for over 30 years now) and this album becomes something very special. To put it in a nutshell Camacho really “housed” this LP. For me there are 3 stand out cuts on the CD. 'Spuramante' by Puerto Ricano Bambazee is a delightful mover that I think samples Abstract Truths We Had A Thing. 'Free My Soul' by Bazwaana brings in a nice brass section and a great vocal delivery this one really get me singing along with its catchy chorus and is perfectly placed on the CD. Following on from this we get a more chugging affair the sort of cut that makes you want to dance and jump around off every wall or pillar you happen to be near simply called 'Get It Right Back' By Brooklyn Blak . Do yourself a favor and purchase this CD you won’t regret it.
