Album Notes

"Joy is an inner condition and it drips from every note that comes out of Maggie Worsdale's awesome vocal cords. Just listen to the opening number, "On the Sunny Side of the Street", itself a paean to optimism: when she comes back in after the solo, could there be anyone left in the shadow?"
BARRY BRAKE - THE JAZZ PROTAGONISTS -

Jazz and cabaret singer Maggie Worsdale has performed professionally nationally and internationally since 1989. Has performed in major hotels, jazz clubs, private clubs, jazz festivals and top cabaret clubs.

Early in Maggie's career, she worked with Bob Hope and George Burns as their opening act. Bob Hope helped her get her first album produced.

Kevin Eubanks, Musical Director and Band Leader of THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH JAY LENO wrote the liner notes for Maggie's second album saying...

“Maggie Worsdale has that special ability to take a song
and make you listen; really listen to what it has
to say… just straight away, down to earth talent…Maggie Worsdale is pure entertainer, with a voice that delivers
on every note.”
Kevin Eubanks (Musical Director and Band Leader of THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH JAY LENO)

"Worsdale is one of those performers with such amazing vocal control and execution that she makes the extremely difficult look and sound like a piece of cake. She is not only able to deliver technically great performances but can do it with ease, often taking the time to fool around with the material while she is at it."
Shelly Ingram/The Lompoc Record

“There is a word for this gal…WONDERFUL.”
Bob Hope/1992

Three words to describe Maggie's latest CD...FAB-U-LOUS!
author: Paul Allen Thornton

JOY in a word is simply FABULOUS!... This is Maggie Worsdale at the top of her game. Classic tunes from a bygone era brought to life with a unique style and vocal prowess. I would place this CD easily in the same league with the works of such talents as Rosemary Clooney, Linda Eder, and Nancy LaMott.

Maggie Worsdale will give you a feeling of being right in front of the stage with her big sound and beautiful voice. She is without a doubt one of the most versatile singers I have ever had the pleasure to listen to.

A Scotsman's opinion of Maggie Worsdale's CD.
author: Frank Mc Vitty

I heard Maggie sing in Edinburgh, Scotland last April and later I bought her CD. And though it's difficult for a Scotsman to spend his money, I'm pleased I did. After listening to all 14 tracks, I'm sure that she's one of those rare performers who can lift the spirits of listeners with whatever song she sings. The accompaniment was also brilliant. Altogether a most enJOYable CD. Come back to Edinburgh soon, Maggie!! Frank McVitty.
