The band was born in 1997 but just ten years later, in 2007, two remaining guys of the original formation, Fernando Oster the drummer and Francisco Stanich the bassist, decided to turn it into their most important and serious project they ever done before.
At that moment they were already counting with lead guitar Rafael Iak, who joined the crew early in 2003, and vocals with Denis Melatto. All together started to create songs for their first album and gather pieces of old stuff they had composed along those years. A very small pre-production with four songs were produced and then they get into to start the full recordings. During one year they recorded material for the album, but the results were not being satisfactory according to their point of view, and besides of that, they were handling another internal challenge. The guys were not happy with Denis’ accomplishment. Denis was not in the same page as the rest of the guys, he had his own life style and the band needed more than a brilliant singer, they needed to be closer each other, sharing the same tune. At that moment they started to figure out what to do – replace Denis for any other singer could be a risk, they could be bringing other problems associated. And the biggest issue, they could never complete the main target – finish and release the album.
So, they decided to slow down the recordings and start to look for a new member. They searched for almost 10 months until hopefully find Silvano Aguilera. This guy had played with Rafael years ago and for any reasons they drift apart for many years. But now they were sure Silvano would be the perfect new member for the band. Finally in September 2009, they could turn back into the studio to finish the instrumental part and start to record all the vocals over again.
This current year, 2010, they are totally focused on the release of the CD and the band. Records have finished in May and the new album is finally ready to show this band. The mission is just beginning, they are coming to keep the thrash alive and bang your head till the end. This is WOSLOM.
