Album Notes

The Would Man is an award winning author and songwriter. His palette is the long slow train of life and many of the stops along the tracks. His brush is the guitar, the harmonica and the voice. His colors are the words. He uses rock, folk and blues as modes of transportation from one thought to another and the dynamic of hard strumming against soft finger-picking to change moods. "The CD composed by Allan J. Grund (The Would Man)named TWO SOLDIERS would be a wonderful addition to your Civil War music collection. It is well written, has beautiful music and is very entertaining. The songs are masterfully done in historical research and composition. They offer to the Civil War Buff - or anyone interested in songs related to the Civil War era - an interesting and delightful array of historical events put to music. I am proud to have this CD in my collection." Mark Brown Civil War Re-enactor/Coordinator, Lecturer and Historian

Historical Figure Painter
author: Andrew MacDonald-Rice
I have a large collection of Civil War related music much of which is by Historical Re-enactment Bands / Groups that I listen to while painting miniatures from this period. The Would Man has produced an album which although not contemporary to the period still manages to take you back, his songs could easily have been sung during or just after the war. His knowledge of the period shows through in his lyrics. This is a welcome addition to my collection.
