Wrapped in Rain...

These singer/songwriters, had coincidentally moved to Paris in
August of 2002 seeking inspiration as both writers and musicians.
Now, after 2 years of working as a duo, these two have combined their unique styles and backgrounds to create the music that makes them, Wrapped in Rain.

Combining her strong love of poetry with her natural
southern style, Celia Rose of Alabama has performed with
bands in the U.S., Israel and Haiti.

Johannah Cantwell takes her experience as a jazz
performer and her classically trained vocal back-ground
from the venues of New York to the acoustic stage of Paris.

Together, this duo has performed in venues across England, Italy, France, Togo, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Rwanda, Madagascar and Burundi. Their first album, entitled Butterfly, was released by Rolene Press in February of 2005 and includes their bassist, violinist, percussionist and drummer. Celia Rose currently lives in New York City, but Wrapped in Rain still works together for international projects. They will be touring in Morocco August 2007 as cultural ambassadors for the U.S. State Department.
