The product of two years of exploration, a manifesto against love and a minefield of memories, filled with nighttime electric symphonies and broken chords echoing over illusions. Disjointed melodies and broken beats, The Wretch has found its voice.

Northern air.
it all starts in a room. small room. city outside. long nights of sleeplessness.
there are thoughts i have of my family, my life, my loves. the fall.
sitting in the dark at night and seeing the lights in the sky. sit down, a
smoke. it's all there in me.
out on the street the electricity falls from the lines. you can hear it.
power lines, cables, fables. i'm walking now, walking out into the night,
feeling the electricity in the air, around me and within me.
it's not that i don't want to be here - it's just that i don't belong.
something in me remembers all the things i loved.
it starts out as a walk, then a run. then a fall. a dream. a nighttime
electric symphony. pathways. passageways. i'm going blind but searching,
running. running to the train. distant faces facing forwards. tracks to salvation.
this is a closing, a neverending, final sound. for just this moment.

The Wretch is Michael Weeks, with guests Eric Schlappi and Tiffany Gentry. Northern Air is the third album from The Wretch, taking ideas from the first two releases "Cyst" and "Ambulatory" to the next level. On Northern Air broken beats collide against walls of guitar and synthesizer, pierced by Michael's words.
