Album Notes

Seven tracks of structured improvisations from Eric Wallack, Jeff Sampson and Bret H Hart. Blending synthesizers, Chapman Stick, electric guitar, samples, homemade instruments, voice and several months of 2003, the trio left us with 50 minutes of uniquely familiar music that breathes all the air.

Eric is a massively proficient manipulator of stringed instruments (and he plays drums and organ, too!). He's been improvising and experimenting with music most of his life. Learn more about him at bhagiti.blogspot.com

Bret is also wildly adept with stringed instruments, as well as a creator (and user) of some very interesting homemade instruments. His life with structured and free improvisation has produced an amazingly diverse catalog of work. Find more about him at edge-surfing.podomatic.com

Jeff sings and plays synthesizers - and almost anything else he can get sound from. Too old to admit just how, and too young to not realize it doesn't matter. His web presence is at toadware.net

"This was an enjoyable set of music. ...much of which can be listened to as relaxation or closer considered listening. But even at its most accessible there are avant-garde bits that crop up, just in case anyone gets any ideas about how they might easily classify these guys."

-- Jerry Kranitz / Aural Innovations
