Recorded in Nashville, this album will take you from the Texas Hill Country to Caracas, Venezuela. Starts With an A is filled with songs lauding “the sage and serious doctrine of virginity” and bewailing the misfortunes of foreign love affairs gone awry. In one song it describes a day in the life of lovers of 50 years, and in another the self dismembering of a Victorian lexicographer. And you can tap your toes to most of it!
