Live orchestral music (recorded in Prague, Czech Republic), very cinematic in nature. Some is broad and sweeping, some comedic, some intimate and evocative.

Hi, I'm Stephanie, and here is some of my work! I hope you enjoy it!
THE ALBUM
All six pieces were recorded in Smecky Studio in Prague, Czech Republic with the City of Prague Orchestra.
Conductor: Mario Klemens
Recording Engineer: Juraj Durovic
Composer's Assistant/Mentor: Stephen Cohn
Mixing/Mastering Engineer: Daniel May
Composer/Orchestrator: Stephanie Wukovitz
Three pieces made use of the A orchestra, which consisted of 65 musicians (woodwind pairs, full brass section, harp, piano, percussion, and strings -- i.e. a pretty standard combination)
The other three pieces were recorded using the B orchestra, which conisted of 51 musicians (woodwind pairs, 6 French horns, harp, piano, percussion, and strings).
The album name, 'Aftermath', is a bit of an in-joke. I spent time as a pure and applied mathematics graduate student, then a few years as a programmer with a mathematical bent.
So my career as a composer comes after... math.
Yes, I know... booooooo.

Great music. Looking forward to the next musical adventure.

I've been listening to this composer's work thru her website for quite a while. At last a studio recording of her work. Here's hoping that she can make more studio recordings that show off her composing skills. The 65 pc. orchestra certainly adds to the drama, sometimes humor, and complexity of her compositions. Very well done and worth every penny. CD Baby is also a great company to deal with.

I've been a big Stef fan for a while and this CD has confirmed it for me. The pieces are great to listen to while driving or while relaxing at home. My kids love the CD too and always ask me, "which song is this?" Definitely worth a listen!

I learned about Stephanie W through mp3.com and I thought back then it's cool to have a Woman composing music for Video games. But she moved beyond that with this great CD that could be a film music sampler. The music is emotional and never boring and the orchestra plays very balanced. Way to go, girl! :)
