Album Notes

So here we were, writing songs and playing shows and having a grand old time, and then people start coming up to us after our set asking "do you have a disc?" No, we didn't! I mean, we probably should have, but were having way too much fun on stage to think too hard about it. We pooled our resources, made some executive decisions, sacrificed several weekends... and now we have a disc.

If there's one thing you can say about our music, it's that aside from the lead vocal no two songs really sound alike. It stems from wanting to do a little bit of everything to see what it feels like and then taking it from there. On this record we did a little bit of bubblegum, a little bit of goth-inspired sounds, 80s pop, and modern rock.

As for the "Short Story," it's in the songs themselves. In my case, it lasted about seven years, which is what I expected. Everyone has a short story. They won't always be the same, but they will certainly share a chapter or two. You will find a familiar chapter in my story. I can't tell you which one, though -- you'll have to figure that one out yourself.
