FIRST STUDIO RECORDINGS IN ALMOST A DECADE!

Laughing Outlaw Records are ecstatic to bring to you the first studio recordings by Sydney punk legends X in almost a decade.

Steve Lucas and Ian Rilen have kicked rock 'n' roll savagely in the caboose for 25 years as X and to celebrate their 'Silver Jubilee' together, a brand new line up of the band have recorded this fine collection of 'balls to the wall' punk anthems as only X can do.

The EP was recorded at the Clubhouse, engineered by Dave Evans and Geoff Holmes and mixed by Richard Muecke. The sound is quintessential X, capturing the spirit and sound of the original phase of the band's career. Stripped back to two guitars, bass and pounding drums, the songs are loud, fast and hit the listener right in the guts where it hurts so good.

X are now:

And to continue the great news, in May 2003, Laughing Outlaw will be releasing a milestone live recording of the above line up of X, recorded at Sydney's Basement nightclub in December 2002. This fantastic sounding double CD set will contain a comprehensive retrospective of the past 25 years of X, featuring many special guests.

With a bunch of CD launch gigs booked in Sydney and Melbourne during April and May for the EP and the double live CD set, 2003 will truly be the Royal Silver Jubilee Year of X!
