Cassendre Xavier is a prolific and gifted American songwriter. Her songs span the range of the pop genre from folk to blues to rock. Xavier's studio albums showcase her rich, sweet singing voice and inspired, impressive guitar picking, plucking, or strumming. Live recordings boast a particular gift for entertaining audiences with jokes and witty banter.

She has also released guided meditation spoken word CDs and downloads under her self-assigned soul-name Amethyste Rah. This sistah's music is absolutely lovely! I admit that I am partial to women and guitars. As she joins the pantheon of incredibly talented women vocalists/guitarists, I think Cassendre has this caressing voice that curls around wonderful chords and tugs at your heartstrings. Add her amazing songwriting abilities, a beautiful voice and guitar, and a sweet, exuberant personality and you get a sweet soul who sustains your spirit with song.
